Who is Jada-Cassidy James?
Jada Cassidy is an 18-year-old artist born and raised in the Bronx, New York, to Jamaican parents. From an early age, she developed a deep love for creativity and self-expression, inspired largely by her mother’s artistic influence. During the difficult and uncertain times of the COVID-19 pandemic, what began as simple sketching for fun quickly evolved into something far more meaningful. Through art, Jada discovered not only her passion, but also her purpose.
At just 13 years old, Jada launched her first merchandise line, which generated numerous sales and continued successfully until she was 15. By the age of 16, she began taking her artistic career more seriously, earning recognition for both her talent and vision. Her work was featured in a gallery exhibition in Montreal, Canada, and she was recognized as “One to Watch” by The 500 Men. She also became a member of the Arts Honor Society and hosted a nonprofit community event dedicated to inspiring and uplifting youth through creativity.
Today, Jada has built an international clientele and continues to grow as both an artist and a visionary. To her, art is far more than creating beautiful pieces — it is a form of healing, storytelling, and connection. Her work is rooted in community, emotion, love, and passion. She believes art has the power to transport people into entirely new worlds and open their minds to new perspectives.
Many of Jada’s pieces are deeply connected to her personal experiences as a young woman navigating the world today. Her work explores femininity in all of its complexity — its beauty, strength, vulnerability, and challenges. Through every brushstroke and concept, Jada aims to create art that resonates emotionally while encouraging reflection, empowerment, and conversation.
